fair-weather boaters

I'm a cold weather wuss. I'm on Algonac's waiting list already. I'm also on Belle Maer's too as a last resort.
Ya not a belle Maer fan for heated.
Math will help your wussyness divide all your expenses and depreciation by mid may to Labor Day and then again from mid April to mid to late October…

Wait til you find out what Belle Maer charges…. Most expensive in town at over 9.10 a sq ft, sure it will be more next year. I store indoor there and would like to find something cheaper, especially since they shoehorn you in and make it almost impossible to work on your boat.
My god :eek:… $9.10…. You guys need to come to Ohio

Well aware... Which is why it'll be a last resort. Yep @Blueone it's cheaper around Catawba but I'd burn up the savings getting there and back

$9.10… I wish. Skipper Bud’s ( MarineMax) just went up to $10.75.

I will be elsewhere for storage.

I would redo your math. I am under $5.00 for an incredible building and space with 24/7 access.
We actually get a lot of Michigan boats down in the area for winter storage

That's really cheap. Mirror Image is $7.00. It I'll see what I burn heading north in May and do some calculating. Just a long way to go putz on it

Call Dubberts and ask for a quote. They have an al a carte menu so make sure you ask for out and in plus storage
Word is he is adding another building this summer…. Now is the time to put $100 down

I used to store indoor at BMH. It’s really bad how little room there is. It annoys me that they put the pulpit of the boat behind you over your transom.

I agree that Algonac is better than Sassy

We launched in April. Having a hard top with a heated and a/c’d cockpit really extends the season. We would hang out on the boat and read when conditions were awful. Plus it was interesting to be on the boat, watch the animals in our yard, notice spring changes and just tinker with electronics with a user manual in hand. It could be raining and 40 degrees outside and 75 degrees in the boat.

like this?? Can only open my hatch about 10”. Good thing i have a 125lb brother in law. Needed to get my seats out for upholstery work this winter

In Hawaii a haul out for my 270 with the travel lift will cost me about $400 at the cheapest place of the two to choose from in the whole state. Then $80 a day just to sit in the yard. There are no storage options unless you have a trailer and then it is open air only for about $600 per month in a parking stall at a self storage lot where they prohibit you from working on it. Thankfully boating season never ends here but maintenance also never ends too.

May 2nd launch. Of course, got a message from the marina this weekend showing ice in the marina and bay to warn that the marina openingmay be delayed. Great few days of weather this and next week which will hopefully break it up in time.

Headed up this Friday to paint the bottom which is the last thing needed before launch. Then crossing fingers.

We're ready to go the water, just waiting for the launch team to get to where we are in the building.
Stopped by our old marina to pick up some items we kept on the dock and dropped some items off at Algonac Harbor Club. Our old marina is continuing to improve, it looked nice.
Excited about being in a new to us marina and a lot of the conveniences the location will offer.
If any of the Lake St Clair peeps get a transient dock at AHC, let us know.
