Marine terms you hate…

What I hate to hear is amateur boaters that have no idea that they don't know what they don't know:
"My anchor rope (rode) is knotted.", "Sailboats keel over (heel) in strong winds.", "I hoisted the flag up the mast." (staff). You can certainly buy rope but once on a vessel it's a line, a rode, a painter, a sheet, a halyard and so forth...
These people don't seem to know the buoyage system or the rules of the road, either.
