Anyone bring their cat on the boat with them?

I am very glad to hear it is getting difficult to find someone willing to declaw cats! It is incredibly painful and equivalent to cutting off a human’s fingers.
Now okay….. who did this comparative experiment?. How did they cut off a humans fingers to compare…. Lots of ways to do it…..like hacksaw….damn that would hurt…. Table saw….that would be quick and painless out of the gate….. then the kitty….how did they pull its claws?….pliers, string to a door knob ?…. lots of holes in your claim :)

Try climbing a tree without your fingers and let me know how that goes. Hopefully you are trying to be funny - I was not talking about pain during the declawing. And to the OP, sorry I did not mean to negatively impact your thread.

well then I am completely confused…. What did you mean?

and just so you know….I am always trying to be funny. God help us if we weren’t today

I won’t bring up dogs, but how about a pet pig? Anybody ever take their pet pig on the boat?
Well, I did have a few boating buds with, well, lets just say, big wives....does that count? ;-)

I used to be slipped next a a live aboard who kept his Iguana on the boat. That was strange, but he grew on me.

Does the cat in my picture look tortured? No. Does he love the car ride? Yes. He sleeps on the dashboard most of the time. So rant all you want, but I doubt an osprey will be able to get him from inside the boat. Now I did watch a bald eagle take one of my wife's chickens once and fly away. And there was a tree near me that was finally cut down after the breeding pair of eagles finally stopped using it. The nest had multiple small dog and/or cat collars in it. So I'm not sure how your rant is particular to cats because all the same can be said for small dogs. Pigs? For you newbies, search for it. One of the funniest threads of all time.

Would love to but no. Raven was a rescue kitty that is skittish to noise. First time the engine fired she would fly off the boat for the pier and be gone. Indoor cat only, does not like outdoors. She is the princess of the house and she knows it.

There is something about black cats. We've had 2 and they have been the absolute best.

My brother had a cat that went with him all of the time. He was a long haul trucker and the cat was always on the road with him. When he came to the lake, the cat would follow him down the docks. Sometimes he would use a leash just as you would with a dog. The cat would cross boats when we were tied up together. Well trained for a cat.

RIP Satch!

:D This from the pig thread:
Obama got off the helicopter in front of The White House carrying a piglet
under each arm. The Marine guard snapped to attention, saluted and
said: "Nice pigs, sir." The President replied: "These are not pigs. These
are authentic Arkansas Razorback Hogs. I got one for Hillary Clinton, and I
got one for Nancy Pelosi." The Marine again snapped to attention, salutes
and said, "Excellent trade, sir."

I know someone that travels with their cat on their Sabre. Works out great for them and the cat is happy.

We've been trying to decide if we want to take our hamster on the boat for weekend trips.
