I guess that loose foam stuff is just "ornamental" and serves no purpose other that decorative?yep peeled it off and cleaned goo off with goo gone.
Hello, I did major upgrades on mine. The most important just put new 400 Verados, Not in the water yet. New windlass, all pumps, new enclosed plastic and canvas, air conditioning in the helm, new seats, it looks brand new, will update on the performance.Just asking members of this group a rhetorical question ... what is your degree of happiness with you 370 Venture? What issues do you have that could be improved or need change?

My Venture 370 with the 400 Verados, full of gas and water and 5 people on board, planes in about 6 seconds. At 5,400 RPM traveling on open seas with 3 to feet waves makes 34 mph. At 6,700 RPM reached 43 mph. It feels very different im glad I did the change.wow!
Let us know how this works out!
Yes they have other outboards, but the beauty and comfort of the Venture is that the engines are covered providing more space, a wide platform and the looks of an inboard. The cabin still one of the best in its category. I am sure that a remake of something similar would catch the attention, mine is at Casa de Campo and I receive weekly offers to buy and a lot of curiosity in a marina filled with Intrepids, Bostons, Scouts, Cigarrettes, Vikings, Pershings etc. When the venture was launched there were no Mercs 400, I absolutely recomend the upgrade and they use the same cover of the 350s so is a 3 hours work.
I am in Dominican Republic, so the engines here are little more expensive because duties I paid US$90,000.00 for both engines installed. For the recertification here is not required but all was done with Mercury and searay advice. They didn't recommended the 450.Can you tell the cost of the project (excluding dash redo)?
Also how go around recertification of the boat for 800 hp ?
