In the mail, Unlimited towing was $121. $10 membership, $121 Unlimited towing, $6 donation for a total of $137 to renew. I did it online and the Unlimited towing was $55 instead. Go figure. Check your stuff out. Mike

We do our at the boat show too. There was about a$20 savings doing it at the show.I renew mine at the boat show each year, seem to have a better deal if you renew there at the booth.

As sure as I can be. The mail option was the same for basic and Unlimited gold, but the Unlimited was half price. No options for salt vs fresh that I see. I've been a member for 12 years. Are you sure it was the same product? Like Sea Tow, Boat US offers both salt water and fresh water towing services, with different rates for each. Fresh water (or Sea Tow's Lakes Card) is less expensive.
I never gave this towing much thought because it is included in my NBOA insurance (unlimited towing). Do you guys not have that or are you buying supplemental?. I am going to give these towing guys a call in the spring to get their understanding of how this would work...just in case.
I have to check that out. I got Boat US through my West Marine points.Do you guys that have it on an insurance policy also get access to the app? The Boat US app alone is probably worth the price I pay. You can call for help with the touch of a button (sending GPS coords passively), set favorite buoys for wave/temp data, etc. It's pretty slick...

Here is the kicker with these programs. Since they are franchises, what what you sign. I have two friends who have BoatUS get Todd and the franchise is trying to call them salvage and is winning in court for 10's of thousands. These boats where fine other than bent running gear.
