I bit the bullet and paid FP. We did black stardust. Really nice.
Anyone had their transom compartment door redone, mine is cracked, it appears to be water intrusion, probably should be gutted, glassed and finished. Was interested in your experience and what you spent. Thanks, JM
Mike,
I'm pretty sure the transom doors are solid glass and contain no wood. Mine is cracked too along the thick area where it hinges. I'm just going to fill it with some West Systems epoxy, sand and paint white.
Those damn things leak like crazy too. This winter, I will figure out how to seal it from rain.
Not to mention it’ll fill the Bilge with rain water because it drains through the holes that the shore power and water hoses go though. I sewed a piece of canvas that extends over the door to keep it out. My grill is in there and the rain would make a terrible mess
I’ll grab a picture this weekend. I used the snaps already on the camper back and extended it past the hatch. Bone dry now. For someone like me who insists on not a drop of water in the bilge it drove me crazyI thought about a piece of canvas to cover that. Good idea. Better than the garbage bag I'm using now.
And yeah, I went down in the engine room while it was raining and it seemed to be raining harder down there than it was outside.
I was thinking that I could use a carbon fiber panel for the dash and the panel under the dash. Just not sure where I could buy the material.

You probably could. I wanted to replace all of them so having the new lettering on the side panels was worth it. I replaced all the switch rockets too, nice new little logos on all the switches.
Those are some interesting gauge readings you’ve got in that picture. Trim seems a little high on the port engine

That was on her delivery voyage. She had sat for a year without any usage at all So a few problems popped up on the trip. From Fort Lauderdale to Fort Pierce. Most of the electrical problems were due to corrosion on the sensors like the oil pressure and voltmeter.
It’s amazing how stuff loosens up and at the worst time. On our last Trip the main lead for dash power came off. Nothing died, just lost all gauges and gps.
Here are a couple. Not great photos but you get the idea. They’re really niceI was thinking that I could use a carbon fiber panel for the dash and the panel under the dash. Just not sure where I could buy the material.

I tried to find one too. I went to west marine and got a flat one that was close in size. Cut it down and drilled new hole for screws. DoneHello All
My anode for my generator or ac thruhull is completely gone.
Could anyone show me where to find a new one?

Todd. Love the floor in the video. Wanted to do same thing. Where did you get it. I have the original carpet and backing is falling apart and if i hose down it just makes a messI was thinking that I could use a carbon fiber panel for the dash and the panel under the dash. Just not sure where I could buy the material.

I think it would be easier if you unplug the dash harness and change the gauges over on the bench.View attachment 75066 Project new Dash underway.
Found some nice Black plastic at “Marine connection” In Fort Pierce for three dollars a pound the sheet only cost me $16.00.
