So we had the boat out for the third time since we got it. We had it out all day, anchored and swam, ran around the lake a bit anchored again, hung out, swam for a while then decided to head back. The boat fired up with no issues, had to get through a no wake zone to get get out of the swim area, got out to the lake and ran across the lake at about half to three quarter throttle until we hit another no wake zone, backed it down to about 5 MPH, after that we ran across the other part of the lake again until we hit the last no wake zone. This is were the launch is, and I backed it down slowly (I'm not one to hit the zone and back it off at the last second), got down to about 5 MPH again and it stalled, fired it up and got to within 100 yrds of the launch and it stalled again, I couldn't get it fired without giving it some throttle, once fired as soon as I went back to neutral it would stall again. I finally had to get it fired up with the throttle, had to rev it a bit so I could quickly go back to neutral and pop it into gear so it wouldn't stall again. I had to come into the launch a little hotter then normal and stalled the motor again, bumped the dock pretty hard because I had no control.
Anyone have any ideas? I am thinking a fuel issue or fuel filter issue. (BTW 3/4 of a tank still left)
So a good day went bad in the last 15 minutes :smt089
