I think you need to mount a prop to an alternator and use it as a wind generator to keep the battery charged. Don't forget to over-prop the alternator. I heard that over-propping is a good thing to do.

The OP’s picture is exactly how I envisioned it. Over engineered for problems that don’t exist. It’s a 20ft bow rider.

 

At the very least a simple jump-pack in your back pocket would solve the entire "problem"

That's the dumbest ****** thing I ever saw. I hope it is not parked at a launch ramp. I live in an upscale neighborhood, nevertheless that battery AND winch would be gone in a few hours.

I have 3 boats with PowerWinch Brand winches (the best there are), and 2 towcars. The winces are all on QD brackets so they can be put in the car when at the ramp. I thought about only having one and swapping them, but it was a hassle so I simply bought 3. One single battery pack with a long wire goes to whatever vehicle is being used, and it's easy peasy no muss no fuss.

Most importantly, though, is that it doesn't look stoopid.

With all these additions, I wonder if the boat ever gets washed? Looks pretty fuzzy at the waterline and the gel coat is dull.

 

He probably plans on adding windshield washer nozzles to the hull.
