I need to transfer waypoints, routes, etc. from one boat to another. Both boats have an RL80CRC. I have never used the user data card transfer option. Does anyone know where I can buy a user data card and if it needs any special formatiing?

Raymarine is closed until after the New Year and Consumers Marine didn't know the answer.

thanks and Happy New Year....

I bought my PC Planner at Consumers Marine so I guess they should also sell the card alone. If not, then give C-MAP a call.

Hi Dom, sounds like its all coming together, glad to hear it.

Ok , the user card should have come with the pc planner, its the cmap memory stick. it should be 128 kb. the same card you use for bringing new routes created on your pc down to the boat on.

If you have the card take it back to your pc and save it back on the computer(pc planner program) then format the disk and take it back down to your 380 remove data then take to your new 410 and download it. cmap has a great customer service they talked as long as needed to get me going. let me know how you make out.

Sorry for the confusion. I probably wasn't clear in my request.

I don't have the card..and I don't have PC Planer. I use Offshore Navigator and Maptech on my lapto. I never had the need to download routes or waypoints from my pc to my on board chartplotter...... until now.

Raymarine and C-Map are both closed until after the new year, and like I said, Consumers Marine wasn't any real help on the phone.

What I really need to know is where (and co$t) I can buy the memory stick, and if there is any formating I need to have. I'm not looking for any big investment as this will be a one time deal.

Thanks for the help....

I would lend you mine but I have 20 routes on it(the max # for our plotter) and am in Hilton Head. I saw it listed at boaters land for 169.99, dont know how fast they could get it to you.

Consumers Marine....painful.... Nothing like discussing other companies fine customer service in our electronics forum

We can get you the datacard you need for $40. You can actually call C-Map when they open and get it directly from them too for $40. 800-424-2627. Either way works for me. You can call us at 866-735-5926 if you want to order it sooner, but we are in and out of the office through the holidays too.

Sorry about mentioning that other store... :smt021 ...wasn't thinking......I pass their brick and mortar location everyday on the way home, so that's why I tried them first...

I appreciate your offer, and the C-MAP info, but I have made other arrangements...
