Hi all! Great site! I have been a boater on the Ohio River since I was 3 (1974). I have a 2005 Sea Ray 185 Sport (4.3, Alpha 1) which replaced our 1984 Galaxy Executive. The Sea Ray is everything the old Galaxy was not. It is basically stock, the only addition so far is a hydrofoil. My wife and 2 kids (boy-8, girl-5) love to spend the day skiing and tubing on the River. There is nothing better than a sunset dinner cooked over a driftwood fire, washed down with an ice cold adult beverage after a day of boating! We also enjoy boating at Brookville Lake in Indiana, Lake Cumberland in KY, and occasionally the Gulf in St Petersburg, FLA. I do all of my own maintenance, so your insight is invaluable. Anyone on the river around the Cincinnati area drop me a line!

Blackjack,
Welcome from fellow Kentuckian! I live in 41017 but boat mostly in the Meldahl pool of the Ohio River. Where are you getting your maint supplies? I have found Hern Marine in Florence to carry everything we need and it is closer than the SeaRay of Cincy.

Quint, are you docking at ripley? I was down the camp all of last week, never made it that far but could have.

Welcome from another Kentucky boy. We've been on the river just a couple of times but prefer Laurel and Cave Run lakes. Glad you got yourself into a Sea Ray.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm learning a lot already (my speedometer stopped working). I'm not very schooled as far as computers go, so it may take a while for me to get a pic sized and up. BTW wish2fish, I have bought from Hern in Florence (I almost bought a boat from them instead of my SR), but I also use Plapps in Burlington. They are closer, and they are open on Sunday, which is usually when I need it.
