I found that pic on the internet and my boat looks exactly the same so i don’t think its aftermarket. I removed all the screws and it isn’t budging. I suspect they also applied some kind of adhesive. I’m considering a multi-tool to get under in between the panel and the hull.Is that entire plate aftermarket. Looks like somebody installed the windless to a plate and just screwed it down
They do sell them. I was hoping someone had an old one after they replaced theirs or didn't want it.Try Great Lakes Boat Tops. Boat Canvas - Original Factory Replacement Covers | Great Lakes Boat Top
They sell the full camper set so perhaps they'll sell the hardware separately.
Welcome to CSR.Hi All,
Has anyone else dealt with this? And what did you do to correct.
TIA,
Mike
Yes, there are two screws holding it down. Someone just sent me info on veneer wood sheets that can be glued down. I think that the option! Thanks!!Welcome to CSR.
Can you get underneath this top and see if it can be removed?
I'd remove it and see if that top layer can be removed and refinished either by DIY wrap, paint or epoxy or take it to a cabinet maker to have re-finished professionally.
Just think if this top could be upgraded out of butcher block or even some type of lightweight solid surface top.
Jim,Hi, I'm upgrading the electronics on my 2006 290DA. Swapped in a Garmin VHF315 black box radio and a couple Garmin 943 plotters and connected all with a new NMEA2000 backbone. So far so good.
Now I'm adding a Fusion RA70nsx radio where the original radio is installed (and last owner replaced with a car stereo). I'm planning to connect it to the network but am having a tough time finding a run from the console to the panel in the salon. The old radio wires are zip tied in place and won't work as pulls.
I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks!
Hi All,
My first post, so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I have a 2007 290 DA that I bought in 2023, that is in fairly decent shape, which I am working to get it back into better shape. One of the things that haven't found by searching CSR is regarding my end table which has a plastic covered table top which I think the previous owner let sunlight get on it and basically melted the table top (see picture). Now it is cracking and also peeling off from the wood below it I have looked at video ads for other 290's of the same age and they all seem to have the same plastic cover. Has anyone else dealt with this? And what did you do to correct.
TIA,
Mike
Sorry, I forgot to post my results regarding the end table. I wound up doing a bad job of removing the old top and there were a lot of rough spots which I tried to sand down which made it worse. In the end, I would up just having a local vinyl wrap guy cover it, as it was. Being a perfectionist, its not what I would like, but it was better than it was.

GbFBCoach,Jim,
Im considering the Garmin 315 or Icom M510bb to replace my failed Northstar. Im curious as to where you monuted the speaker, and how the install went. From my research, it looks pretty plug and play. I have Garmin 743's
Clean. Love it!GbFBCoach,
My Northstar was DOA. I installed an ICOM IC-M330 just above the Northstar input port. The speaker is loud enough so, no need for using the external Northstar speaker. View attachment 195884 View attachment 195884
I had the 2007 Parts manual and then download the 2008 Parts manual from the Sea Ray site. They look exactly the same. See below. Hope this helps.Looking for some info from other 06-08 owners. I’m considering snap in flooring. Corinthian marine has aquamat for 08 model year 290 DA. Can anyone confirm the flooring layout is the same for all 3 model years? I have an 07. The picture of the pattern looks like it should fit.
Solid! Thanks SeaRascal! Much appreciated. Gonna pull the trigger!I had the 2007 Parts manual and then download the 2008 Parts manual from the Sea Ray site. They look exactly the same. See below. Hope this helps.

Looks good. Here a picture of my set up. This a new dash panel from FPMarine.com and they did the cutouts for the Garmin and the SmartCraft. I'm saving the middle for a Fusion radio. I'm not messing around trying to install it where the Clarion head unit is.@SeaRascal
Thanks for the inspiration. Went with a dash mount but may reposition to where yours is, if I decide to add another garmin. Super easy install. View attachment 196239
