I received the same offer from Kenyon and decided to go for repair kit (89USD + shipping (+ import tax + vat for the Netherlands :-( )) I will give it a try. The recall for their gas stoves was related to a portable edition.
 
Well, i was supposed to be doing my sea trial tomorrow but on top of bad weather, the dealer is waiting on a new fuel cooler that they need to replace. They told me that the cooler that is currently installed is leaking and needs to be replaced but is discontinued. They had to find somewhere that had the model that superseded it and as far as I know, the part has not come in yet. Is there any maintenance i should have done while they are working on the fuel cooler that they can get to at the same time? I hate having to wait but I do want the repairs done right.
 
Any one idea of the thickness of a 240DA/2004 bottom, like the place where the depth sensor is located? I like to install a 3D structure scan under the keel and guestimate the size of the screws which can be used, as not want that are to long and pierce the bottom.

Do you have to drill holes? can you not just use sikaflex?

Yes and No.. Don't need to drill holes thru-hull, but need to drill for screws. The 3D transducer is large, approx. 26 cm length, 6 cm width, 5 cm high. As need to be fixed very solid, like to use 'large' screws, but not piercing the hull. I will use sikaflex in the holes, but also on flush mount plate.

I have the transducer now on the transom, but as 3D structure scan is beaming almost horizontal, have huge reflection from drive...
 
@fishbone, thanks and similar what I expected. No problem (for me) to have screws in bottom of boat. Prefer that instead of removing gelcoat partly and have flush-mount with expoy.
 
I'm checking the option to run cables from galley/mid-cabin to dash (2004 model) and position of VHF antenna. I have now, 3 feet VHF on SB attached to the rail, but plan is to have two 6 feet antennas on SB/BB.

How did this before and maybe some pictures?

Don't be too worried about the stability or it being underpowered. My wife and I have a 2010 with a 5.0 and we absolutely love the boat.

You'll get used to driving the boat and in no time at all you'll be able to anticipate how the hull will behave in most conditions. I wouldn't mind having a larger engine, however have never been in a situation where the 5.0 let us down.

The 240 is a compromise boat. We don't have a generator or vacuflush, but have the advantage of being able to tow the boat anywhere with ease and can store the boat almost anywhere. Compared to larger boats the 240 is very easy on the gas bill and can also be taken on extended weekend cruises.
