I'm considering adding one of these.

I'd like to add one of these to my boat. Q: Do y'all think it should be mounted on the left, right or middle?
All opinions are greatly appreciated. Thx.

Although it comes with a wide base for mounting, I like the pole idea, this could help elevate things and possibly reduce the amount holes I'd have to drill

If that's an autopilot, I'd scan the software for viruses.

I hope you realize those are not maintenance free and tend to be expensive. Definitely not a install and leave it option. Although I'm pretty sure I need one for my boat.

Renting is always cheaper. Plus there are different rental options for different needs. So I'm told.

Renting is not a bad idea. Maybe a short term lease and negotiate monthly virus scans? I hear after a few years the soft wear is pretty much old/out dated and doesn't have all that "new car" smell

Maitainence is cheaper when renting, and the purpose for which it was rented performs,........once purchased I found the maintenance rose significantly, and the performance dropped off dramatacilly, and the cost to trade in is just beyond comprehension

Agreed...........but synchronisation can be very tricky

Twins might often increase fuel consumption and increased instabalasation might hurt the boats bottom line. Installing twins might look good come the summer season but come winter the drain on any mans wallet might prove to be to much. I've seen a few of the older versions installed on different boats around the marina. They many have a few more hours on them but only cost 1/3 the price and could out perform that piticular model, with a much tighter base
