My 1990 454 has 854 hours, Mike.

 

A year or so ago the same sort of post came up.
I now have 2200 on my 454s they used 1/2 quart per 100 hours. I use SAE 40 oil because that is what the manual says to use. Transmissions seem fine cutles bearings may be 1/32 to 1/16 play.
Quicksilver generator has 1200 house uses no oil. Use 10/30 in it.

 

1999 Merc 5.7 350 MPI Bluewaters - 620 hrs

1999 Kohler 7.3 gennie - 310 hrs

 

2007 Merc 5.0's 420 of trouble free hours

2007 Kohler 950 I think of only routine mainteance

1994 7.4's 1200 hours
(And the genny, well you know about Fred... And it's running awesome!)

 

Engines = 5 hrs
Generator = 1231 hrs

 

Spend a lot of time anchored out in front of the marina!

 

Does your engines have closed cooling systems? If not don't expect the high times some see to be the norm.
Sorry just saw your in freshwater. In that case you should see over 1000 hours easy.

2007 MAN 1100s : 1050 hrs.
2007 ONAN 21 KW : 1850 hrs

Cat 3406C's 1425 hours.
Westerbeke 15KW gen, 2300 hours

The only issue I had with the gen was a cracked fuel line that allowed air to enter. Diesels don't like air and it let me know ASAP. That crack was hard to track down because it was down behind the gen.

 

About 365 hours on the twin Merc 5.0's. NO real issues.

And no generator, except when I take the Honda with me... (Just kidding!)

 

820 on the 454 Crusaders. Uses no oil between oil changes.

400 on the Kolher gen.

 

700 engine hours
no generator

 

1024 on 454 bravo 1 No gennie

 

2009 8.1L 534 hours

2001 Westerbeke 7.0 BCGB 2400 hours

 

2007 350 MAG w/ 204 freshwater hours. Replaced thermostat this year. M1 15W50 Oil because that's how I roll.
No gen.
