You DISAGREED with the Barack Obama position on 46 of the 47 test questions. This means you disagree with the Obama position 98% of the time.

I'm not surprised with the results.

2. Do you agree or disagree that Homeland Security should have to seek out a warrant in federal court in order to perform search and seizure on an American citizen suspected of being involved in terrorism?

I agreed with that because of the broad wording of "suspected of being involved in terrorism." Other than that...

... and damn proud of that, too, I might add.

As a registered independent (meaning neither for nor against either candidate reflexively by way of voter registration) and someone who conducts and interprets market research for a living, I have to say that that survey is very poorly worded and is stacked with loaded questions. Which is fine if you want to convince people not to vote for Obama, but not particularly valid for any other purpose.

Fire away.

Our brilliant civic leaders put a non-binding resolution on a ballot for the Democratic Party local elections regarding our then, proposed new airport. The question was, "Do you think we should build a new airport in the West Bay area at no expense to the taxpayers?"

Problems:
1) One party's local ballot
2) The question itself has 2 parts
a) Should we build a new airport in West Bay
b) Should it be at no expense to taxpayers (local company donating land...)

Our local, back woods tv stations actually give the results credibility to this day - 2 years down the road.

One of the questions lumped nuclear power in with fossil fuels. Although Nuclear Power currently accounts for about 20% of electric generation in the U.S., that number will soon be increasing starting in 2010 when ground breaking will start on the new generation of reactors. Know Nukes!

However, this as many surveys/polls ask questions in ways that are not independent. Also, there were several that I wanted to obstain because no answer reflected my opinion but no answer was not an option.

You can't even change people's mind about motor oil. There's always some guy who asks, "Can I use xyzzy synthetic?" Then someone else shows him Mercury's oil FAQ that formerly said "No synthetics." So the first guy says, "Well xyzzy says it's OK for marine and Volvo uses synthetic in their GM based marine engines, so it must be OK."

At which point I usually think, "So why did you ask in the first place, *******?"

Best regards,
