The problem we have is the rear fender and where to attach it. The rear cleat is pretty far back and pretty low. We only rafted once with this boat and it was with my mothers pontoon (which presents it's own problems...lol). We tied the rear fender to the bimini mount near the back and tied the front one to the bow rail just in front of the windshield.
At the dock the rear fender has to be tied right at the fender, meaning only an inch or so of line sticking out of the fender. The only other place we could tie it is the bimini mount.

The rear facing seat opens like a truck in a car but 4 8" fenders fill it pretty full and have a hard time closing it because the table stores in there too and the pole mount on the table top sticks down into the fenders. The 6" fit good but don't give much protection when rafting.

We had 3 larger ones with the old boat then got 2 more with this boat. I only have the 2 on the boat then 2 smaller ones but was thinking about buying 2 more so we have enough for rafting up. I was thinking of buying the stainless holders for the bow rail. If I did buy 2 more larger ones I wouldn't need the smaller ones

Ok. Figured the round ones would be more protective but just so big to stow. We have about 6 large sausage types. I think they are 8" and about 3 smaller 6" sausage types.

So you say round ball fenders are easier to stow? How so? We are looking at buying new fenders for our new boat but haven't considered round because I thought they would be harder to stow?
