Canvas Work in Edgewater MD

Our 370 AC canvas was redone some years ago by Stitch All from Edgewater MD. It seems they no longer exist, but I did find another similar sounding shop in Edgewater. Does anyone know if they are related to CMC Canvas?

The usual sources for canvas all seem to have gaps in what they offer, and from what I was reading Sea Ray did some canvas work in house, so the patterns are not available. The mid-size sport yachts seem to big the biggest group of them.

I was thinking the shop that did ours must have had patterns, but who knows where they may be now. Being very model specific means there may not be many places to have made the AC model canvas. Starting from scratch sounds expensive. They hopefully have a couple years left in them, but they have shrunk measurably and extender snaps constantly come off, leaving them to flap in the breeze and making black trails on the gelcoat.

Yes, Danny (Stitch-All) retired at the end of last year. Our loss.

Don't know of someone with a similar name here in Edgewater. Marty's is here, but I haven't had any work done by them... and when I asked about a bow pad, they had a pretty long lead time.

Haven't heard of CMC Canvas. Google says Solomons Island Rd in Edgewater, Their website says Edgewood Rd in Annapolis (might be near Bert Jabins).

It happens our current cockpit canvas was made by Boatswain's Locker, and they were able to replicate a missing panel using info from our hull number. You might try calling them to see if they happened to be your OEM maker...

No one in Rock Hall?

Bummer, just missed him!
The OEM of our canvas was SR, in house. I'm sure there are plenty of places that can make them, but someone with patterns has a huge time advantage. I have no idea how many 370 AC's were made (or 380AC, nearly identical), but It's got to be a low number. Over a 6 month period last year we only saw about 8 for sale, across the US. You have to dig between the gazillion DA's to find them.
As noted I hope to get another 2 years out of them. The shrinkage is the serious bummer that could move this plan up. I have more than enough catchup maint to do before pouring money in that whole.
