Advice on a depth finder please

I am looking to add a depth finder to my 170br. I will be using it in lakes and rivers primarily and i know Clear Lake has some shallow spots. I would feel better knowing how deep it is.

I dont need anything super fancy, or high end, but would like depth, and maybe water temp. I dont even know what sensors are available for them. Dont even really need to know when there are fish, unless then are big enough to eat me. :huh:

I would like to stay cheep, and get a nice basic unit but i dont even know where to start. Once i get an idea i may start a WTB thread, but i dont see many of them listed on the classified section.

I already checked craigslist, and the local pawn shops and came up empty, or out of my price range.

Pretty cheap, down and dirty depth sounder with fish finder. I really like the Humminbird unit I have on my 24' boat.

I picked up and installed the hummingbird 150, it was cheep, shows depth, and water temp. perfect for me.

just remember to subtract the measurement from the sender to the skeg.
