Saltwater for sure. The front of the engine room grill on the sides of the boat is the vent and the rear section is where the blower discharges. I don't know what is in there to prevent water from getting into the blower hose.
Might want to check the bottom of the DeAngelo 8” SS exhaust tubes. They can develop pin holes and drip on top of the A/C pumps.

I thought that also but not, plus I replaced the risers and that pipe around 4 years ago.
The blower is further outboard right next to the fuel tank and that pump directly under it. The issue doesn't seem to exist on the other side where the other AC pump is right under the other blower.

Hello CSR folks! Looks like i'll be closing on my new to me 520 next week. I need to upgrade my fenders. What size are you all using. Both round and Big B center hole style. Thanks!

Congratulations on the boat!
10X26 Big B's with fabric covers - 4 of them on the boat. 96 inch 5/8" lines through them.
A4 commercial ones that I keep in the garage for hurricane preps.

Thank you! Are you able to get all 4 of the Big B's in the trunk?

I have a few replacement light questions and wondering if the group can help.

- Mast head and stern running lights are inoperative. Thinking it is a bulb replacement or at least I will start with that. Do you have the replacement bulb part numbers?

- What are you using for engine room and lazarette bilge lights? I have a few that are out and need replacing.

- Bow spot light has one of the bulbs out. Is there a part number handy for bulb replacement?

- What is everyone using to replace interior ceiling lighting? Prefer to switch to LEDs if possible. Same question for the courtesy lights outside and up the stairs to the bridge.

Many thanks!!

Some of the interior lamps are low voltage AC. The Marinebeam lamps will work for both the AC and DC lights as they are both dimmable and have no polarity requirement.
The overhead lights require lamps (g4) with back pins.
I'd suggest keeping the interior solon lamps at between 3400K and 4000K temperature.
Bathrooms 5000K is good.

The Anchor/Steaming Light-
I replaced mine with a new Fixture, pricey but really bright. I couldn't find a replacement lens for the OEM which mine was significantly yellowed and cloudy. The incandecandt lamps are available which you might be able to find the part number in your parts manual. If you go to the SeaRay website you can put in your year and model for an electronic copy of the user manual and parts list.
If you can’t find it let me know…

For the interior lamps- I replaced with these from Amazon. I agree with the 3-35k color temp for everything except the Heads which we went with 5k.

Engine Room lights - these Amazon lights are holding up well and much brighter than OEM. Also significantly lower Watts used.

Cockpit and Bridge Round Recess Lights-
We used these with good success from Super Bright LED -

I'm sorry in advance for all the questions. I need to upgrade my dock lines - both home dock and day lines. What lengts are you all using for bow, stern and spring? Many thanks!

For traveling lines that stay on the boat we use 3/4” x 50’ and 3/4” x 40’. Both are usually much longer than needed but never too short.

The lines that stay on the dock are a mix of what was needed for each one and a couple left overs.

Hello CSR! I took delivery of my 52 yesterday and spent the past 2 days familiarizing myself with everything. I have a long way to go and this forum has been incredible. I need to replace the bilge pump next to the washer dryer in the basement. There’s a little dirty water in there and I see a hose that dead ends into this well but can’t tell if it is dripping and the cause of the water. A few questions: What switch turns on this bilge pump? Is it the forward bilge rocker switch on the bridge? Any idea where the water may be coming from? And any idea what the clear tube is for? Attaching pics for reference. Many thanks in advance!!

That's is the shower sump overflow hose and most likely the liquid is from the shower sump.
There is no manual switch for that pump but when it comes on the systems monitor will alarm.
There may be issues with the shower sump and it's operation.

Ok, good to know. How would one test this pump if there’s no manual switch for it? In the meantime, I’ll check the shower sump.

On another note, where is the forward bilge located that is activated by the rocker on the bridge?

Thank you!
