Hello Everyone,

My wife and I purchased a used 2008 Sea Ray Sundancer 290 which obviously has a head system and holding tank. I read the manual in Section 7, Step 1, which says to "Turn ON the DISCHARGE PUMP breaker on the salon DC distribution panel and open the waste discharge seacock located on the bilge floor." The problem is there is no such switch or even anything remotely close to discharge pump. The 2nd step says, "Operate DISCHARGE switch at the WASTE SYSTEM CONTROL area on the main distribution panel." Again, there is no such switch. Can anybody help me understand how to operate the macerator system? Please and thank you?

Well, first off, you posted this in the wrong forum. This kind of holding tank is for political, off-color jokes, and the like.

Second, to answer your question, your boat just doesn't have the macerator option installed so the only way to empty the holding tank is to pump out.

Also, I assume you know you can't use overboard discharge anyway unless you're at least 3 miles off shore and not in a no-discharge zone.

Insfnds,

My sincere apologies for posting in the wrong forum. Heavens to Betsy, I hope the forum police don't come looking for me!LOL...BTW, my boat DOES have the system and it is operated by the key that powers the vacuflush head. Secondly, yes, I am well aware of the incredibly obvious. Thanks for your help!
