We're closing tomorrow on an '06 280 with 50 hrs. on twin 4.3's and 17 hrs. on the gen. White hull with navy blue full camper. The boat is absolutely pristine. We had the bottom repainted in navy blue to match the rest of the boat. The boat is currently in Carolina Beach, NC. I am going to spend the day Saturday familiarizing myself with everything, fueling up etc. Leaving first light on Sunday morning to head south to our home in Mt. Pleasant, SC. If anyone is along the ICW between Carolina Beach and Charleston on Sunday keep a look out for me. Planning a refueling stop in Georgetown, SC but will also be carrying 15 gallons of extra fuel as well just in case. Thanks to all for answering all my questions during my search process. My family and I are very excited. I also look forward to being a new fixture on this board.

Congratulations on your purchase. There are many marinas along the ICW in that stretch. You do not need 15 gallons of gas sloshing about on deck. Go to Barnes and Noble in MT Pleasant as they keep a couple of cruising guides in stock.
There is lots of fuel from Georgetown north. Top off your tank in Georgetown as the marinas are further apart south of Georgetown. If you forget you can always slow down and idle for a long way in that boat. While your poking along get us some pictures.
