I saw some other models starting threads out there so here is a thread for us 200SD owners. It helps to have others with the same ride as you to bounce things off of.

Weave, have you done anything with your cooler to make it work better in the space it is in, solving the problem of opening the lid without taking the entire cooler out?

HA !!!! AWESOME!!!!!!:smt038:smt038
You have ESP man. My wife an I were just talking about this the other day. If it were a bit wider in aisle it would work perfect but I HATE pulling it all the way out and sideways to open it.
Problem solved!!!! Great idea! I think I have a project tonight!!!!

Nothinhg here. Would be nice if we could make use of the area under the starboard step on the stern where the door is.
Doubt a large cooler would fit there though. What about mounting smoething in the port side storage area ????
Do you leave the potti in there?

On the beach. :smt043

Seriously, I don't know anyone that's found, used and been happy with a grill on any "day boat". We've used the swim platform to set a grill on (with soaked towels under it) and that worked for brief and simple grilling, but not worth the hassle.

The nice fancy ones with mounts, usually sound better and look better in the ads than they do on your boat. Friends have one but gave up on it mounting where it could be used.

I have a friend who has an 18' Maxxum and he mounted his on the out side of his swim platform. The mounting piece that Magma sells is too short but he fabbed a taller one that works sweet......
He honstly has one of the better set-up's I have seen

Take a look at the Cobb grill. That's the name brand. Got ours at West Marine and have only used it once, but were pleased. Is a small charcoal grill that is totally contained and vented and you can sit it anywhere and the outside does not get hot! Is versitile-you can buy a griddle for it to enable you to do more than grilling. Cuts out on having to figure out mounting and is perfect for 2-4 people.

you right on the money cpditty. I like that mount that you picture. The thing I like most about the platform mount is that you can set up the table ( sundeck option) and feed everyone without being in the way while grilling.
Just worry about the grease.....no even a deal in and of itself.

I've installed mine on the swim platform with a removable post mount (as others have done) and have had no issues with the magma grill dripping. Don't know if the 200 has the same room under the rear lounger as the 240 but here's how I store my Magma Newport grill. http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?p=116216#post116216

Still looking for a good cooler replacement or an alternative cooler location. Any idea's?
I bought a 36 qt coleman 5 day cooler and it does not fit in the locker that the OEM one came in. The OEM cooler doesn't hold ice for long at all, I could use it for food but then need something for drinks and ice... the deck is crowded enough with my wife, myself, five kids and a yellow lab. Swim deck maybe????
