It's taken me several hours after reading your words, Scott I'm still speechless.

I've been to these scenes in my past as a FF/Medic. We never knew the families but we tried to be of some help. Reading your post brought it all flooding back including my own brother.

Scott if you or the family need anything at all just say the word

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and concerns, it is good to know we are surrounded by such good and caring friends. The magnitude of all of this is overwhelming at times, but we are getting through it.

Thanks again, and Merry Christmas
Scott

Scott,

So very sorry to hear of this. Our best friends' brother hung himself last year. He was 25 and had suffered with depression his whole life. It was terrible to say the least. The death was bad enough, but seeing how it ripped the hearts out of the family who loved him dearly ...great people very close to us ...it was and still is heartbreaking. He was obviously in some very real and unbearable pain. More so than anyone knew.

I hope that you and your family are getting through, and that at the very least, can have some peace knowing your sister is not suffering any longer. Depression is very real and such a terrible thing for so many. Much love.

Scott, so sorry I just read this post and couldn’t have offered up prayers sooner but know that you are defiantly in my thoughts and prayers now.
Stay positive and look to Jesus for comfort!
As others have already said, we are here if there is anything you need.

I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Whether it’s intentional or not any young child who loses a parent will forever feel a loss. I hope they can find peace.
God bless.

Scott,
Please accept my condolences. Such a horrible tragedy. As a retired police officer, I have been to the scene of many such tragedies, and it is always heartbreaking for all. My 29 year old nephew committed suicide in 2015 and, while our family was sitting quietly in the house a couple of days later, just being together, someone muttered, "this really sucks" and another of my nephews said, "It does suck, but it's better when we're together." I saw great wisdom in that comment. It's better to hold hands and stick together. God Bless you and your family.

Thank you everyone. Christmas was kind of a non-holiday for my family this year, but we are all coping as well as could be expected. I’m back at work now, and it helps to take my mind off the situation at hand.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and have a safe and happy New Year.

Scott
