My new to me 2003 Sea Ray 245 Weekender. I shopped around and with the help of many folks here, and their valuable information, it's MINE now. I didn't want one this big, but was told that you should always buy your 2nd boat first. The Wife Unit had two requests, a head, and high sides. The survey went fine and found no problems. It has a Merc 5.0 and a BIII outdrive. Nice cabin and a pump out head, so SHE is happy. Keeping in it dry doc in Stuart Florida and first time out will be this Tuesday. I have learned a lot from all the posts on this site, plenty of do's and don'ts.

This is my new baby:

Congratulations!

And I see you learned THREE cardinal rules: (1) Buy your second boat first, (2) Making the Admiral happy is paramount, (3) Photos or it didn't happen!

Here's to many happy boating days!!

How have you liked the 245 weekender? I’m seriously considering one. I viewed it in person and loved the cockpit layout and the feel of it. It has an awesome new full enclosure with Makrolon front, rear, and side panels.
It also has a 5.0 Mercruiser (305 EFI) but with a Bravo 2
I read on the forums someone else having this same boat and engine complaining that it was underpowered and lists quite a bit while underway.
If you can share your experience or thought I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
