How did you go about raising your helm seat???
My seat is manual. Unbolt the tracks from underneath. Depending on how your tracks are held in place, you may have to get a 90* angled screwdriver to hold the screw while unbolting it. Mine had small bolt heads so I was able to us a rachet wrench.
There was no Plastic Lumber in Lowes of HD a few years ago so I ordered some leftovers from this firm.

There is plenty of plastic lumber around now.
I have to look at the different lumber and how it's stacked to get the specifics. I know I did a lot of countersinking and multiple attachments so all the strain would not be on 6 long bolts. IIRC, I attached the seat rails to 2x4's and attached the 2x4's to 4x4's then the 4x4's to either another 2x4 or 5/4 decking. The plastic lumber runs paralled with the keel.
There is nice vinyl on the back of the helm seat. It actually looks factory. There is no vinyl on the back of the passenger seat at the helm so I left it as is.
The only down side is it is very difficult to reach the storage space beside the helm seat now because the seat cushion is right up against it.
I used plastic instead of wood to avoid rot and any "runs" on the cockpit when the wood got wet. I friend had some leftover lumber from a project and did his with wood. I think he used mahogony. He's happy with his setup as am I. It's obviously not flying bridge visibility, but it beats standing for hours particularly considering I need that hard top to be about a 10 inches taller!
