I see all of your comments about the election of the new President, but respecfully I restrain myself of giving my opinion since I am Canadian (however a North American). But in simple terms and believe me, with humility, these are a few thoughts I have. GWB , after 8-9 months as the President of USA (eg: the most powerful man in the world) got stuck with a terrible situation; a fu_ _ _ng act of terrorism He did not ask for this but he had to live and manage this. He did what he thougth was the best for the American people and for the world. Fight terrorism and protect USA. If that terrible event did not occurred, what GWB would have done during his eight years of mandate, we don't know, but the fact is that he was stuck with it and I have respect for him for what he did. The world would probably be different today if that event did not happened, but it did.... GWB had to do extreme actions to respond to an extreme, infamous and coward situation.
Now about B.Obama election. I understand that he is the opposite of GWB and that he was elected by American people that wanted to counterbalance GWB extreme acts. Correct me if I am wrong. Frankly I don't know what will happened, but I hope that during the next four years he will bring USA to another level of its evolution(I know this comment will not be very appreciated by some CSR members....) and if its not the case you will correct the situation.... But he also has to handle a very difficult situation, and since I try to make my opinion based on facts I will wait to see what he does before commenting on his results. Also, I don't get turned on by the "media" superstar show put around him. For me it does'nt mean anything.
