In my 400 the amp is behind the couch seat back on the left, remove the three screws at the bottom and it lifts up and out. Behind it you will find the amplifier.
Well. I very much appreciate the input, however, my boat has the slide out cabin couch and that was one of the first places I looked. I have since removed just about every panel access I can find...
I can see the blue and white wire that activates the amp, and it's heading aft from the stereo, but no way to trace it

It’s under the couch in the mail cabin area…under the electrical cabinet.

Well, I looked and could not see it, I'm not there now but I'll look again...
This is the area that your referring to?
The EC is different than ours but I suspect taking those screws out that get exposed when you pull the lower cushion out (towards the upper part of your pic) is will let that backrest lift off and expose the amps

Ok, I'll admit that the back rest on that bench does not look particularly serviceable... but at this point I'll try anything.
Thank you guys for the help.

If it’s like the Sundancer it lifts up and off once the screws are out

And reattach your temp sensor on the AC unit. ☺
Or locate to a more appropriate location..... The local Dometic service company relocated all but one (the Bridge AC) of the sensors on my boat to better balance the air temperatures. And, it made a major improvement in cabin comfort....

Nice! Did you fix the issue?
Yes, apparently when they replaced the original amp. They inserted a 2amp inline fuse to protect the power to the stereo, my new receiver however must draw more than 2 amps under load. The wire is # 14, so I replaced the inline fuse with a 10 amp fuse.
The stereo itself has a built in 15 amp fuse, so I'm feeling pretty good about it.. and now I know where to look for future issues. Thanks again for all the responses....

Find myself needing to replace starboard windshield wiper motor assembly. A little confused on the elec results i measured. Measured 3 wire input, grnd,P(park?) and H(high?). Between grd and P got 12v, grd and H 6v. I think switches were set to straight run middle speed. Anyway given that the wiper "module" is putting out voltage I am thinking the fact that the wiper motor does not run indicates the motor is the problem. I realize that the conclusion that the problem is the motor is not absolute.
All that being said any advice in taking the motor out? I see two screws holding the motor assembly and the nut up on the deck. Can it really be that easy???
Thanks in advance

Question for 410 express owners. I’m considering looking at a 410 express. The bunk bed room, are those big enough for two adults ? Or only kids?
I wouldn’t say big enough for two adults. Top bunk is pretty narrow, I don’t let my grandkids sleep on the top because I’m sure they’ll roll off. If you’re lucky enough to have the filler cushion for the bottom it’s doable for 1 1/2 adults or two smaller children. (5-8ish)

We’re looking at a few boats to consider a change from our 400 Sundancer. If anyone is interested in what I think is the nicest most upgraded 400 around, feel free to PM me. Theres very little left on this boat that’s original.

Hey Ray,

What's your fancy?

Several ideas rolling around in my head. 48 Sedan, 44 Sundancer, or a 48 Sundancer.

We’re really looking for some more room to take our families with us on a few trips per year as well as cockpit air / hardtop / hydraulic platform lift to carry a small center console dinghy. The 48 Sedan and the 48 Sundancer get us the space, but the 44 could scratch the itch with the other amenities.

If I don’t find exactly what I’m looking for, we love our 400. It will be hard to start over with all the projects and improvements but I find that to be a lot of fun.
