Okay, let me rephrase.... It's not designed for "big boats" that have a draft more than 48"...? And even that is cutting it close. I always feel better when there is more than a foot from the bottom of the boat I'm running, especially if there is any waves or chop as previously mentioned. Yikes

H2O Chris docked his 540 there last fall. Had no problems. I’m not sure what the 540 drafts but it’s gotta be close to that or more.

Good day off today; launching 4/25, today installed new steering wheel (gains us more smiles per mile) and finished polishing. Will finish the door at Belle Maer and very much ready for a summer to enjoy all our hard winters work.
Looks great. Love the steering wheel:cool: Here’s my shitty Formula edition.

Learning the hard way. Our Smart Craft display was dying. Replaced it with VV5. The VV5 is very nice, as it’s also communicating with our new 8612 Garmin. But… lost my analog gages, all now are DOA. Hoping it’s a wire harness issue and not a now we need to update the analog gages to digital. Anyone know of solutions?

Boat was launched yesterday going down to Catawba Island today to bring it north. I'll be glad to get this maiden voyage under my belt.
Should be a beautiful trip.

It's now home at Belle Maer. It was pretty uneventful thankfully. The rear thruster that was working when it was pulled decided to not work yesterday. Didn't do any investigating I hear a thunk when it tries so there's power to what might be a solenoid? Not sure at this point. But there's power to the toggle. Erie was flat. My stern thruster did the same thing on my 390. I had the solenoid changed and that didn’t fix it. It ended being the battery was going bad. You may also find that the thruster will stick on too.

Unfortunately, the stern thruster doesn't have its own battery. I think it's tied to one of the house batteries. I'll need to get a battery load tester and see if that's the culprit. It should have its own and I will likely look into seeing what's involved in getting that done this year.

Did you have a local shop do the work?

I couldn’t get anyone out so I used Blaz here at macray. (He’s closed now..) I changed the battery after that didn’t fix the issue and it fixed it.
