In response to a suggestion by a fellow 410DA owner from up in the North who said we need our own thread, I am starting THE OFFICIAL 410DA thread. This is it. Post your comments, questions and BS here when talking about our boats.
Believe the dash is Zephyr Armorcote gelcote but not so sure it's availableI just installed a new garmin 1243xsv Chartplotter. The mount is shorter, so I have a couple holes in my dash I need to fill. Does anyone know what color the dash is on a 2001 410da. I am gonna call Sea Ray, but figured I would ask here first.
Thanks for the reply.Believe the dash is Zephyr Armorcote gelcote but not so sure it's available

Thanks Mark , I'll give them a call. looking forward to any reduced noise, the 3 blade is crazy loudI think I got mine from Florida Bow Thrusters. It’s been a while and I don’t have any boat logs with me, but check them out.
It’s a change worth making, considerably quieter. Change the anode while you’re at it. I got that at Boat Zincs when I ordered the others.

hahah you know itDiesels and bow thrusters? Man you guys barely have to think to dock these things![]()
Please don’t become one of those guys coming into a marina using those noisy bow thrusters constantly, just to stay straight in a fairway.hahah you know it
LOl I’ll do my best. There’s a guy with a 26 footer that has one he has to use it everyday it’s so loudPlease don’t become one of those guys coming into a marina using those noisy bow thrusters constantly, just to stay straight in a fairway.
There is only one reason you will ever need a bow thruster on your boat. If you ever lose an engine, you will be very glad you have it.LOl I’ll do my best. There’s a guy with a 26 footer that has one he has to use it everyday it’s so loud
Sorry, that’s unnatural! I feel a little queasy…
yup, pretty much. I do have the wife bump the thruster after I unhook the bow line if the wind is blowing us off the fingerThere is only one reason you will ever need a bow thruster on your boat. If you ever lose an engine, you will be very glad you have it.
A 410/400 has an actual cabin door for the mid berth. The 380 does not, at least on the few I have been on. We have three each on our dock. I have also not seen many diesel 380's although I'm sure they are out there. For those in the know, other than the 2 heads, is there much of a difference between a late 90s/early 2000s 380 and a 400/410 layout/size?
Otherwise, all else is equal?A 410/400 has an actual cabin door for the mid berth. The 380 does not, at least on the few I have been on. We have three each on our dock. I have also not seen many diesel 380's although I'm sure they are out there.
I think the difference is quite noticeable. In pure numbers the 400/410 is 3.5' longer in the hull, 10" wider in beam, sits 8" deeper in the water and has 4,000lbs more beefiniess. That makes a big difference in how the boat feels, especially the beam. For those in the know, other than the 2 heads, is there much of a difference between a late 90s/early 2000s 380 and a 400/410 layout/size?
