Fortunately, the judge doesn't have a vote on the jury. So it doesn't really matter that he "had his mind made up". Although I am curious how you gained such great insight into what is in the judge's mind and heart. Or, for that matter, how you have so much knowledge of Wisconsin state law being you are in Canada. What credentials do you possess that make you qualified to opine on the "judicial errors and demonstrated incompetence" of the judge? Or are you just parroting the leftist media as relayed to you in socialist Canada?
CNN is a wonderful global source of liberal manure.

Actually he didn’t travel from home as he spent time living in Kenosha with his father. His mother lived in Antioch IL.
Rittenhouse traveled from Antioch with his sister's boyfriend, Dominick Black, who had purchased the rifle for him, and Black's brother. He testified that he lived in Antioch with his single mother, Wendy Rittenhouse, and his two sisters. Antioch borders the Wisconsin state line and is about 20 miles, or roughly a 30-minute drive, from Kenosha. Black testified that they had traveled to Kenosha after the rioting had started to patrol the streets and to protect property.

Wait. A Canadian is telling someone who lives in that area, where those towns are located?

Gotta laugh at this one @Juliery as @Steve S is local to that area and I grew up there...

But I'll add this to the thread...

If we had a working criminal justice system, why would those three men not already be behind bars?

He did this during a break and you think it demonstrates incompetence and bias. Oh the Drama...
First, Schroeder ruled to exclude evidence in the form of a video taken two weeks before the events in question, showing Rittenhouse calling some people “looters” and stating that he wished he had a gun to shoot them. That seems highly probative of his intent two weeks later.

Later, Schroeder had ruled that the three men Rittenhouse shot could not be referred to as "victims" during the trial, but that the defense was permitted to use the terms "looters," "arsonists" and "rioters", when referring to protesters.

Schroeder also scolded the prosecution, more than once, for aggressive questioning of Rittenhouse. He was seen to be much more sympathetic to the defense lawyers.

There is no celebration of what happened to Kyle. I doubt that pride is what he is feeling today.
There is much celebration in that the rule of law worked, self defense was affirmed, and threats of riots and destruction did not deter the jury in their duty. A lot to celebrate!

Although I agree with what your words say, probably not what you meant. There is no celebration that he was arrested, a first year DA should have known it was self defense and not filed charges. He has every right to feel pride in successfully defending himself…

View attachment 115892 Guys, Julie is merely a troll here.

Yo Julie! You’re canceled.
So what would you self-righteous and vocal defenders of Rittenhouse, the 17 year old vigilante, be saying if he had been a black man at a Kenosha protest of another police shooting (several times in the back) of another black man?

He could LEGALLY carry that gun and LEGALLY use it to defend his life.

If someone points a gun at you and/or tries to hit you in the head with a skateboard, take the shot...
A hammer weighs on the average of 16 Oz to 4 Lb. A skateboard weighs upwards of 5 Lb. Both can be lethal when swung with force.

My wife and were discussing that this morning. She wonders if he would want that particular rifle back.
I read they are giving it back, as they should. Why would someone not want it back? It saved his life…

I am a Canadian. I think that this was the right decision in a horrible tragedy for everyone involved. I still think he “caused” the potential for being involved in a gun fight by bringing an AR15 down there, but once he was threatened he had a right to defend himself. I totally get that in the US, people have guns constitutionally and are allowed to use them for fun as well as for self-defence.

I hope that a positive outcome of this is that people (kids actually) will realize that if you take a visible assault rifle to a protest/riot/gathering there is a chance you will be using it, and you might be on the wrong side of the bullets. Right or wrong don’t matter if you are dead.
Thank you Creekwood

Oh yes, down to strategy number seven in the leftist handbook on winning arguments, inject race even if race is not even tangentially involved…

What possible relevance to the actual events was a BS session weeks before?

If the judge allowed those shot to be called victims, that would be prejudging the case being heard.

The defense lawyers did not knowingly violate the judge’s orders in front of the jury.

All this proves you are out of your depths discussing this topic…

Why, because of the memories of the incident- it could be a constant reminder.
I would frame it and hang it on the wall as a constant reminder to be prepared…

Right. And his dad lives in Kenosha. Trust me when I say there is not much difference between Kenosha and Antioch — basically a few cow pastures. Both towns have too many Packer fans. It’s a non issue.

Juliery, you still haven’t answered my simplest of questions. Two of my fellow rioters and I are chasing you down, with several of others in the area I’m telling you we are going to kill you, I throw a brick and hit you and knock you to the ground. Now my two buddies are catching up to you. You have the gun. What’s your plan, how are you going to save yourself?

Now remember, I’m giving you time to think about your solution. If it takes you more than a millisecond to answer, you are dead.
