Let’s not be like THT
I was joking. THT is not a bad site but can get pretty hostile. They don’t seem to like Sea Rays or their owners.

Maybe Jim can explain what it takes for a thread to get moved to the tank. I recall some spirited banter and maybe even a little name calling but I believe this is a forum read by adults with similar interests with various perspectives on matters political. If all it takes is a couple of members complaining about content of a particular thread to move the administrator to lift a finger and censor the thread by moving it to a log in only part of the site, I just don't get it. It is one thing if some one is inciting violence or really posting dangerous rhetoric that is antithetical to the site's mission, but I don't recall posts like that. Hey it's a business and in the end the owner can ultimately decide what stays and what goes and if members don't like it they can vote with their finger tips and post elsewhere. I for one get bored of the long threads after a couple of pages. Its like watching Hannity on Fox. So predictable and uninspired. Once things go to the tank, I'm pretty much finished being interested in other members (who I generally enjoy reading) opinions anyway.

It is great Jim keeps this going, but when it no longer monetize itself the plug will be pulled on all this information.
So do you think it's a good idea to support the site??? This site has saved me more than the $100 I send in every year.
I tell every SeaRay owner I talk to about this site. IMO this is the best and most informative SeaRay page out there.

You weren’t asking me, but I’ll butt in. Yes, it’s absolutely worth the $100/yr - or whatever level you’re comfortable contributing. We have one member here that got his feelings hurt because the mods moved a thread to the holding tank and then got on here ringing the bells and hitting the panic button of the death of the site. This is a vibrant site with many active members and contributors and I’m sure they aren’t going to shut it down due to dwindling activity.

I usually support the site and have for more than 12 years. I have been a supporter at all levels and have likely contributed over $1000 in that time. I suggest new members support the site and do not judge long term members as they go through various stages of their lives.

Because of the huge industry footprint for so long SR has the product out there to keep interest high here but as stated forums are dying as most younger folks don’t even know what a forum is.

I will always look back fondly on the first few years I joined here and the hilarious times we had all while keeping our boat running...

We can just wait another 10 years and see who is right.

Mike that's kinda why I was asking. I know you were always a supporter in the past. We even responded to each other in the "Support the Site" thread back in 18' about the shirt and the burgee. When I noticed you mentioned "monetize" and then noticed that you are not a supporter anymore it hit me kinda funny.

Lol that’s super funny!!
But it is unlikely you will even remember this after 40 vaccine booster shots and over 7000 booster pills...

I was wondering how long it would take to turn this thread into another Covid/vaccine thread....

I’m not sure if you’re confused by my statement?

if so, go to google.com, turn off safe search, and do an image search for ‘butt plug jewelry”. See you in an hour.
Ugh, no thanks...
