Any use for old Sunbrella material?

My cockpit cover got destroyed when someone shipped the boat with the cover on. I've ordered a new one, but is there any reason to keep the material from the old one?

It is not in great shape, but maybe there is some use for small pieces of it?

I recently replaced all my canvas and contemplated what to do with the old pieces. I finally threw it away in an on going effort to de clutter my life

Maybe make a little cover for your forward hatch (just add 4 snaps) or a search light cover?? :huh:

BBQ cover, staff/flag cover, storage bags for windows and spare canvas when removed, outboard motor cover, hatch covers, wraps for stainless steel frame poles using velcro, add grommets and line for tool bags, etc., etc.

A lot of guys here have dash/helm covers made of matching Sunbrella.

This was my original thought; cut and save enough to cover the dash when I do have to leave it outside. Then I found one cheap enough to replace the whole thing.

I may still try to piece some together to cover the equipment. I just have to hide the ball of old cover long enough so my wife doesn't ask questions.

Any use for old Sunbrella material?
