In response to a suggestion by a fellow 410DA owner from up in the North who said we need our own thread, I am starting THE OFFICIAL 410DA thread. This is it. Post your comments, questions and BS here when talking about our boats.
Awesome! We're scheduled for 4/16 first thing in the morning. Lots of work still to go in the next 2.5 weeks or so...
That is a beautiful pic.I’m excited to test as well. First time pushing the throttles forward will undoubtedly be a pucker moment with all the work I did just hoping to not have any major issues.
coolant hoses and clamps, aftercoolers, turbos, props, strut and shaft, intake and breathers, cutless, and dripless seals. Here’s to hoping I didn’t forget a screw
they sure look nice though

I’d like to do the same thing. Last time I did this I had to contact Searay for the Taylormade part who then pointed me to TM to get the updated PNI'm looking to replace the windshield screw cover with the TaylorMade rubber "J" shaped material. While I was searching Flounder Pounder I noticed that there was 2 similar products. The part #'s are 8349030 and 8349040. Do any of you know which one is correct for my 99' 400 with the stainless frame. I read in one thread that the 8349040 is for the stainless frame and the 8349030 is for the aluminum frame. Just want to make sure before I order. TIA
I measured mine today and rounding each section up to the next foot I came up with 31'. Reading more on Flounder Pounder I'm pretty sure I need #8349040. It says on FP it's for the stainless frame. Just wanted to double check here before spending 200.00I’d like to do the same thing. It’s by the foot, any idea of the length needed?
perfect, thanks. I really need ours as well, it leaks inside in the aft corner of each windshield because the foam is completely goneI measured mine today and rounding each section up to the next foot I came up with 31'. Edit: just got a text from my buddy with a 330 aluminum frame and he ordered the #8349030. I'm even more confident now that I need the #8349040.
I think I'm gonna go ahead and order. I'm confident enough to spend the 200 now.perfect, thanks. I really need ours as well, it leaks inside in the aft corner of each windshield because the foam is completely gone
thanks! I also contemplated replacement versus raising the line but I really liked the look on our old boat and decided to go for it.I think I'm gonna go ahead and order. I'm confident enough to spend the 200 now.
By the way your boat is looking awesome and after seeing your pics above of the bottom paint you help make a discussion I've been contemplating for a couple years. I pulling my waterline/boot stripes off next time I go to the boat. I want to get them off before my detail guy wheels it out.
Thanks for the advice. Looks like I'll be purchasing eraser wheels also.thanks! I also contemplated replacement versus raising the line but I really liked the look on our old boat and decided to go for it.
it took me 4 eraser wheels to do the gold and black on both sides. If you use heat and have a friend to help the black will peel off but chances are it will leave a residue you then have to remove anyway so I stuck with the wheels
I preferred these over the smooth(had two of each) but don’t be shy about the rpm and let the wheel do the work without putting too much pressure. Thanks for the advice. Looks like I'll be purchasing eraser wheels also.

Thanks for the info. I ordered and Flounder Pounder called me saying they only have a few pieces left and are waiting for their shipment to come in. They offered to reimburse me if I didn't want wait. I thought that was pretty awesome of them. I told them I could wait the 2 weeks or so. So I have 31' coming in soon.I have a 1997 370 Sundancer.
I ordered a Sample of each from flounder pounder. Flounder pounder will send you about 6 inches of each for free.
According to there web site it fits multiple models. Just different lengths.
The 8349040 is the correct one for the stainless window on a 370. I am sure that it is the same for your windshield. I ordered 35 feet and had some left. It fit perfectly. Cut it long and Stuff it in at the ends, it will shrink over time.
Aquamarine deck on ours. Previous owner did it, I’d say he did an ok job lining it up but the product is really nice. I’ve heard they’re the best in terms of cut quality and edge finish.Any body put a pre-cut EVA foam on the swim platform? I've found several but looking for feedback feedback as to who's the best, and how it fit.
Or should I just get it done locally?

thats a big jump from our 400/410s. I didn’t realize the 450 had that much more cockpit square footageQuote of $4500 for my 45 DA with the Aqua Marine deck. The SeaDek quote was slightly higher.
Yea the pattern is spot on the PO just didn’t line them up perfectly. Just do some research on dogs with it, if they have nails it’ll scratch easyI’m looking to only do the swim platform, as this would help our dog get on/off without slipping. I’m thinking the boats were standard enough that the online patterns are good enough.
For the cockpit, contemplating a marine weave.
