Took the boat out today with my neighbor and since the ocean was windblown and crappy we decided to anchor up in a little lake area on the ICW. Was floating in the water behind the boat drinking a beer when the police boat came cruising by and he asked me how many people we had on the boat. I had 6 so he tells me you are fine we are enforcing the "no more than 10 people rule". Crazy... what has this world come too....

Sheesh...I hope I don't get boater-shamed like this for having my 5 immediate family members out on the boat in April. We live together, eat together, practice good hygiene together...but there's no 6' rule inside my home. It's not big enough for that

Fla is kinda late to the game, I guess the Spring Breakers have taken their (mom and dads) money and gone home. I'm sure they practiced great social distancing in the local bars, those same bars and shops that have shutdown all over the rest of the country. What are they going to do now that they have started to detox and found that there is no college dorm to go back to.

15K have died world wide, i think like 500 here in the US? but we are willing to let govt shut us down over that? shaking my head, and have been for a week. the scary part of this 'crisis' is watching how easily the masses are led by their leaders. i actually read a comment on Facebook on a FTL sandbar post saying freedom isn't as important as peoples' lives. Freedom is more than being able to do whatever we want, when we want. Along with freedom comes personal responsibility.
Lots of people fought and died so the rest of us here could be free. Maybe we owe it to them and their loved ones to endure a few inconveniences for them. That's not giving up our freedom.

If it's like you say and we are all falling for some game our government idiots are playing then please explain what's going on in the rest of the worlds counties. Are you saying they are playing the same game?
Thousands of folks are out of work, thousands of big and small businesses have shut their doors and stand to never be able to reopen.Those working folks are the one that pay for all the social programs that other depend on to live. Lower tax income for the government means lower budgets for all those in need. Ploy by the government, I don't think so.
ALL social groups are effected by this, teens to seniors, I again see the working class paying the largest price. They once again stand to lose their homes and everything else they have worked for.
If you really think this is some ploy I'd like to invite you to come up the Richmond and volunteer a day in MCV's ER.
