My freshwater pump has been running and cycling during the last couple of trips. I finally found the leak yesterday. The cold water line way behind the hot water heater is leaking at the fitting. Based upon the research so far it appears I have the Zurn fittings and 1/2" tubing. Has anyone else had this issue with the fittings? Was there some type of recall on these fittings?

Heard of leaks in home and marine and RV apps.

If you have enough slack, I would replace with shark bite fittings. You can replace them easily. Last I heard the PEX tool is as much as all the fittings in your boat.

Buddy had a few leak last week, he re- crimped them and all good

Do you know if they will work with the Zurn tubing?

It is the blue tubing. Thanks for the update. I see those fittings are available through Home Depot. I will get some and hopefully make this a quick fix.

Thanks!!

Check the size!!!! The came in two sizes when I bought mine and the sizes were very close. However there was enough of a difference that you could not jury rig a fitting.

I knew what I needed but did not know the size and the boat was an hour away. I bought enough (plus) of the fittings in both sizes and told the manager at HD the situation and that roughly 50% would be coming back unopened. They were fine with it. YMMV.
