Bought my 2006 52SB in 2008 and came up from Florida. When first surveyed, props were pitted. Was told that my model doesn't require zincs on the shafts so they recond'ed the props and I went last season with them. Hauled the boat two weeks ago after being in the water (in New York) all winter and props were completely shot. Had to replace at almost $10K. Yard suggested zincs no matter what Sea Ray says because they've seen it happen to others. My mechanic inspected the shafts (interior to boat) and said there is no other grounding mechanism to be found. Comments from others?
