zincs for alpha 1

I want to replace all the zincs on my alpha 1 stern drives, the kits I have found do not show one behind the prop , the gen 2's do show one there. I just want to double check that there was not one on the 1990 and older alpha 1.
Also is zinc the right choice , boat will be in fresh water...lake michigan..for the season.

You need magnesium for fresh water. Yes on the gen one there is no anode behind the prop or on the trim rams. Boat zincs dot com has kits and explains materials and water they're used for

You can add the prop shaft anode with a kit from boat zincs. Com.

They added it on te alpha II as a shortcoming in protection on the alpha I. I find them useful to add on earlier alphas.
