I went to check on repair status and saw that the round plate style zinc under tha cavitation plate is gone, i mean really gone, along with the bolt that holds it in that goes on the hole. I can get a thread match bolt from hardware store but does anyone know the length of the bolt? 1” 3/4” 1.5”?

The new anode (could be MADE from Zn, Al or Mg... probably Al in your case?) typically comes with a new bolt. FYI, it's the anti-ventilation plate, not cavitation. It's an often misused term - even by some manufacturers.

Mine use aluminum, old habit calling them zinc, i don’t remember a bolt in the package before. Been using Martyr brand.
You could actually use whatever composition you want - but Al, like you are using, is the best choice for your waters.

I've only ever used the Performance Metals brand or Merc brand and they come with the bolt (well, Yamaha, too, which comes with the bolt - but that's neither here nor there for this conversation). It's quite possible other brands don't include it - that I can't say for sure, though. I personally like the PM brand as I think they have pretty much the best composition out there.

I get them from Boatzincs who are local. The BIII Aluminum kit comes with the bolts and washers but looking at some of their others (like Alpha) and looks like they don't always come with hardware.

While you're getting a bolt, be sure to get a stainless star lock washer to go with it. It's not so much to keep the bolt tight, but to make sure you get good electrical continuity between the bolt and the outdrive.

I have some left over along with some anodes that aren't used on my drives here. DM me if you need too.

Recently got complete sets for the 3208Ts and drives. Helluva selection. Everything was perfect except I did not order the threaded plugs, just the threaded zincs. Then found out the plugs threads just would not let me tighten them properly, a little play. So now have the complete assys coming.

Thanks but i need before they put it back in water Tuesday. Ordered Amazon, be here tomorrow. Bought the whole package, figured if replacing one may as well do them all.
Every Martyr kit I’ve ever bought came with all new bolts an washers.
