It’s a ZF 80-1A . I have a leak on the starboard transmission control block. Looks like a solenoid that has rusted. There seems to be an Allen screw that maybe holds a retainer in place? Maybe a seal under that?

All the manuals online only show the manual shift version. Anybody have a link or copy for these transmissions manuals or service books?

I imagine just a seal or an oring. I hope . I estimate a couple ounces over the course if 10 hours of operation.

I found what I was looking for. For those that have the same, here is the diagram and parts list. There are several ports/plugs with seals. I'm hoping a few o-rings/seals gets me a clean tranny.

And found a supplier of the seals kit. Seemed to think it’ll fix me up. I’ll post back

Well...It was a loose plug. Tightened it up, no leak.

However, in diagnosing it, I took the reverse solenoid out, and also left the fill plug out and ran a few minutes. Now it’s slipping

I’m hoping this is just some air introduced into the system, or that I’m low on fluid due to the leak. Gonna post a new thread on this one.
