ZF 63 Port Noise

This is my second season with the boat and I noticed that the port drive makes more noise when in fwd/reverse gear than the stbd. Nothing scarey....no clunking, rattling or grinding. The surveyor never said anything about it so I didn't think anything of it. Now I sort of just want to know?

It is perfectly normal. One operates in reverse direction than the other one ant that is why it sounds different even if you have both if forward or reverse.

As stated port runs in reverse. Annual fluid and filter changes are a must for trouble free boating pleasure.
