Did the yellow cap blow off the black reservoir or did the black cap blow off your clear(ish) reservoir?

the black reservoir is for trim tab and steering actuator and the clear-ish one is for gearcase oil.

If you are interested in trying to diagnose it yourself, check the transmission fluid level. That should be the reddish brown thumbscrew looking cap on top of the pod. IF that is at a normal level, it sounds like it could be the seal between the king pin adapter plate and steering actuator. When were the pods seals done last?
