Anyone running the new Zeus drives in saltwater. Any feedback regarding performance, relibility and marine growth (bottom painting drive pod)??

Thanks,

Mike

The pod and housing is marine bronze. It should be OK. The props are stainless steel. They also should be OK, but it would have been better if Merc avoided using so much dissimilar metal in my opinion. Personally, I like the Volvo IPS better. The housing and pod is nibral as are the props. Nibral is more noble than bronze and also is stronger. If I were buying a pod drive boat this year, it would be one with the IPS. But I'm still doing the wait and see.

Best regards,
Frank

I would have to agree. I wonder if they can mount those things backwards?
