No leaks... everything in spec... and nothing broke.

Finally...

and the pillows stayed in place! :smt038

How long have been out of commish Gary?

I ran the boat last week for a little bit but it hasn't been really "run" since January. That's when I was not able to walk anymore (without crutches anyway) and I didn't have foot surgery until April... and then recovery time... It basically took two months of work to get it back in shape.

Gary, did you get your sub-zero fixed? Did you really pulled it out and brought it home?

So, are you ready for the vacation run now?

I have some cosmetic things to do over the next few days. I have new bridge canvas/strataglass I got from Boatswain's Locker (the OEM supplier) to put on and give the boat a good topside polish job... I also have a few electronics things to take care of. New freezer goes in Wed and then I'll stock the boat with food and she'll be ready to go.

I'm going to take some people out fishing on Saturday (the 5th) and run about 150 miles just to make sure nothing else breaks but then I'm ready to roll.. Can't wait.

Gary,

Have a safe trip. We will be boating as well but it will be on the Holland America cruising off the coast of Alaska! Hummm...bring on that fresh Salmon!!!!

Hope your trip is as enjoyable as last years "cruise of the bay".

So... Frank...

You have a really nice 41 foot yacht and you are going on a cruise ship?

Yeah, talk to Karen about that......The major drawback to being retired with a wife that still works is that the last word (at least for me) in all discussions is "yes dear". She said Alaska, I said "yes dear".... But what the hell, I still have my Corvette and my boat and several other toys....sometimes acquiescence is a good thing!

Are you leaving from Seattle?

The good thing about the cruise is that you don't have to worry about fixing anything when it breaks and you don't even have to cook! I just got back from a cruise myself and I enjoyed every minute of it. Have fun!

Congrats on the shake down run Gary. Glad to see it's up and running again.

Hi Todd, No flying to Anchorage. If I ever hit Seattle, I'll call and buy you an Olympia...Do they still make Oly? Ex wife's uncle was a brewmaster for them in the 70's...Not a bad beer if I recall..... something about "Its the Water !!"

Gary, I hope your planning on doing another photo journal of your trip north this Summer. That was good stuff last year!
