Admirals been down with a very bad back this past month and i have not been able to take out the boat although she's ready to go and
due to taken over the house chores, dr's, etc, Im stuck, i know the saying if you don't use it you will lose it, with that in mind i've been going to the slip once a week to start her up and warm to 170, i feel very sad the boats just sitting there, is there anything i should worry about damage wise not taking the boat for at least another few weeks???
i would not consider going alone, we are partners....

Gonna get some bottom growth going.

You need to get a buddy and take it for a spin for the boats spirit as well as your own. Tell the wife
it's imperative to reduce bottom growth. If she's like my wife she'll be pissed but won't be able to
argue when it's about the boats health )

Sorry to hear about your wife's back and I hope for a speedy recovery. If it makes you feel any better, we haven't left the dock either...weather hasn't cooperated. Not even at the marina this weekend as we're dealing with the start of six days of rain.

Paul

I have only left the dock twice, once to anchor out idle speed due to flooding, second to take to the boat yard for new bottom paint.

Bill, Nice to here from you... Sorry about Pat's back... I have only used our boat twice this spring. Once on Easter Sunday and once on May 1st. Gas is too expensive, no need to run it each week... Circulating the salt water does do much good, and there will be little growth until late June, early July. I would use this time for cleaning, and minor maintenance. Your wife should be up and about soon, better now than in July...

Thanks Rod,,

Nice to hear from you also,

We hope to be up and running soon, The weather has really been a bummer .......hopefully june will be better...:)

It seems it is the same pattern for all of us on the East Coast as well as many others of you out there. The weather this spring has put a damper on our short season to say the least. I hope things change soon.

I'd be twitching. I hope her back gets better soon followed by calm seas so she can ride comfortably. Back pain is no fun.
All the best.

I've had my boat in the water since April 15th and I took her out for the first time on Saturday May, 14th. The weather was horrible every time I had any time off of work, and beautiful while I was at work.

I finally took her out late Saturday evening. I spent the night tied up at a local marina after enjoying an evening at their bar. Then on Sunday afternoon, I finally got a beautiful day on the hook out by the islands.

I wasn't too keen on paying $4.62/gal for fuel, though. I got over that when I reminded myself that the per gallon price of the Guinness beer I was drinking was nearly triple that of the fuel. Made me feel a little better...

Bill,
I hope Pat feels better. I have a bad back that never warns me when it's going to go out. I feel her pain. The weather has been crap so you're not missing much anyway. I told the marina no hurry to put me in. They put me Saturday, just in time for another week of rain! Hopefully this will end soon and your wife will be up and running for the good weather. All my best to her buddy.
