We have a 1996 370 Dancer that we just bought about 2 months ago. She came with a 2-3" foam topper on top of the original mattress, and it is not cutting it. Did some searching on here and it seems as though some prefer memory foam (not what we have) and others prefer a pillow topper.

Any suggestions about which approach is a) more comfortable, and b) which will last longer?

I've got a 2 year old Boat and will eventually get a Memory Foam Topper! That's what we have at Home and We Love It!!
PS it's 10 years old and is still great!

I went to a local mattress factory up the road and they will make what ever kind of mattress I wish in what ever configuration/dominions I come up with.

Thumbs up to matress factory have friends that had theirs made with 8inch foam and love it. I went through a local matress shop and had mine made out of 10inch foam with a pillow top... all said was under a grand and we like sleeping on the boat better then home...:smt038

Try Walmart. They have memory foam matresses in various sizes and thicknesses.
ours is 5 years old, works very well. I believe we got a California King size and cut it to fit a 2005 340 DA.
