Hi,

I have a 1979 Markline 800 which is a Sea Ray 260 Sundancer built under licence in New Zealand. I am based in Sydney, Australia and emigrated from the UK 10 years ago.

My boat is unfortunately powered by OMC (351W - now dead) with a Stringer 800 drive (Which I had just finished rebuilding before water entered and seized the engine).

I am looking at re-powering with rebuilt Mercruiser 485's with Alphas and will be asking you fellow boaties a few questions.
