Cruised up Indian Arm yesterday which is BC’s southernmost glacial fjord, and just around the corner from our marina. We anchored at one of our favourite local spots which is near a waterfall at the northern tip of the fjord. It’s about 15NM from home base. It was a good day!

Sweet spot-very nice pictures

Wow that's some awesome scenery to cruise around in - looks very peaceful and relaxing.

Thanks all ...we do our best to never take this for granted. And yes, the water is freezing here right now. Hovering right around 55. No swimming. Although interestingly enough there's a place about 100NM north of here called Desolation Sound (maybe you've heard of it). This is where the tidal streams coming around the north and south side of Vancouver Island meet. As a result, there's very little tidal movement in that particular area allowing time for the water to warm up. It's the warmest Pacific water north of Mexico with temps in July and August anywhere from 75 to 80 degrees. Perfect for swimming. We're headed up there for two weeks next month, and looking forward to that.

very nice! beautiful area!

A couple of marinas in the Canadian Thousand Islands are up to $1.80-90/ltr....what’s gas in BC marinas?

I paid $1.62 this past weekend in Vancouver Harbour. That’s usually the cheapest around though. I’m sure I wouldn’t need to go too far and I could price match that.

What a great spot. Wow!
okay..1.62 a liter-3.79 liters in a gallon that's.....uhhh...Wait....
<vomit>
6 bucks a gallon? Holy crap on a cracker.

It's getting ridiculous. Running to this little local spot and back cost about $200 in fuel alone. Going to do about 500NM during our trip next month. Maybe we'll just hull speed the whole thing. :)

Despite what the world may think of our “leader” Justin Trudeau..he is not shy of taxes and making the rich pay just a “little bit more”...
We have taxes on everything, either from a federal or provincial level...a 24 of beer costs about $44!!

Looks like you've had a great season so far hats off managing young children boating we are making the best if it this year our youngest is 20 months and it's not easy on the admiral . We didn't boat at all last year . This year a bit more and hopefully build on that next year . Our 4 year old is pretty manageable and I get out with him for day trips quite a bit . Happy boating

Wow! hike up a fall from your boat...very cool!

It's been challenging, but he's loving it now. We have a high chair which he sits in while we're underway and docking, and he's really into watching the surroundings while we cruise. We have roughly a 2 hour threshold before he gets really bored and wants to do anything other than what we're doing, so we plan our trips accordingly. Having Paw Patrol and Peppa available via cockpit and cabin TV's also helps ...and he actually sleeps better on the boat than at home. Must be the rocking? He's 27 months now, and actually way more into it than he was even 5 months ago.

We were in BC in July with 17 days of fantastic weather. We started in Roche Harbor and went north, I needed fuel so I checked with Roche and then called Van Isle Marina on Vancouver Island. I did the math, liter to the gallon, the currency conversion and we filled in Van Isle as it was cheaper than Roche (USA).

Beautiful pics Mark and one of our favorite areas to go to. We just recently returned from Portland Island down that way. Really gorgeous uninhabited provincial marine park with excellent hiking and beaches.
