My new 2008 44 dancer has a yellow tint on the non skid area on the port and starboard side of the transom > not real bad and is the area where you step up to go forward but not desirable for sure > Any one have any cleaning ideas ?
I also have caulking in various places that has darkened to yellow or greyish spots >>>> any ideas ?

Use soft scrub bathroom cleaner but make sure to wax or polish after as you need to protect the gelcoat. There are others that will suggest other products as well but soft scrub works, is inexpensive and easy to find.

The yellowing is apparently due to the mold release wax they use in the factory molds. Some of it occasionally sticks to the fiberglass and eventually it yellows. There were some previous posts on this subject awhile back that you may be able to find doing a SEARCH. At any rate I would first try some Spray Nine or Soft Scrub. If that doesn't work try some polishing compound to see if that removes it. If that does not work then try some Naptha but only as a last result.

To brighten up the caulking try Spray Nine or Goo Gone. Both of those products have worked for me to clean up the caulking. I also use a soft bristle brush when cleaning the caulking.

Here is one of the posting I was talking about http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19386&highlight=yellowing
