It’s always fun when you try an turn yer boat into a submarine. Got up yesterday morning, s((( hangin outa my nose, whiskey in the coffee, couple a brews, and a couple a scotch whiskey, out on the lake, the waves are huge,, boats pitchin like crazy, drove about two hours into the building waves until couldn’t take it no more. It was nuts, ringin the ships bell every other wave,,, ka-ding, a huge spray hits ya in the face, the boat shutters a bit, then you can feel the cavitation as the ass end is pointed to the sky, had a few casualties tho, the electrostatic air cleaner hit the floor, the laptop hit the floor but seem ok, I’m startin to think it’s more fun when it’s rough out, good thing I own a Sea Ray! (193 hours and counting this year) oh yeah, I put the bow underwater a few times, that’s the submarine reference..:smt038:smt043 (my shoulder hurts too)

Awesome! Glad everybody had fun and survived.

If your burrying the nose on the old 390 then you were in some good seas. From what I've read on here about construction of those era boats I don't think she's gonna put up with that for long.

BONG....BONG....BONG.....DIVE !....DIVE!.....DIVE!

HATCHES SECURE AND WE HAVE PRESSURE IN THE BOAT,CAPTAIN.

Sounds like you had a blast, but treat the girl right. She wasn't made to take that kind of abuse.

You deserve a sore shoulder, just think how her hull feels today.

Go take the poor ole girl some aspirin, and tell her it will be alright..

yee haaaa?

You mean:

You take your all-right; you take your can't-wait.
A lotta of bring-it-on, an' some damn straight,
An' mix it all up with some down home southern drawl, y'all:
You got your yee haw!.

WOW, that’s fun Danthe...I like to be beaten some times... I love the long high swells, climbing on them and sliding down like on a rollercoaster... better with four blade and diesels!!!

Motorboating can be a lot of fun!!

Fun with a 320 and gassers too! Just not the pounding like is being discussed. My friend with a 380DA ran his too hard coming up the coast and did a lot of damage including breaking motor mounts. These things are not indestructable!

Actually, we wern't doing much pounding, an occasional shutter, but she was only going 6 knots (my favorite speed). it's suprising how well the autopilot will keep on course in rough water, had the synchronizer a quarter to port, to help offset the wind. It was kind of like slow motion, up, up, up, then splash down, spray hits you in the face, rinse and repeat.. There were no boats harmed in the making of this episode :smt009 (that i can tell.) although the v-berth mattress got soaked. The few times the bow went under, it only made like a 2 - 3 inch layer of water flowing over the boat, almost to the windshield  I'd say the biggest waves (the rouge waves) were 5-6 feet, that's 10 -12 from top to bottom.
