Engines
none at the moment
Finally launched yesterday.A portion of our marina is on a river and they have to dredge every spring and that requires a government permit and they only got that finished a week and a half ago. Then the weather decided not to cooperate for launching and they had a few days where launch was cancelled due to insainly strong winds and huge surge. We were waiting foir the shop to install new circulating pumps so finally yestrday the planets aligned - work done, winds light, sun out and splash.:smt038
Only issue we had was the starboard engine would not suck water so after trying to 'burp' the system at the watrer strainer my friend and I pulled some hoses and got the engine drinking again. Felt so good hearing those engines come to life and cruising down the river to our basin. Docking was not picture perfect but OK for he first in 6 months on what is still a new baot to us (got it end of last summer and hauled out in Oct). Todat - blie blue sky - oh yea!!

Good for you........:smt038:smt038

always a great time when things fall into place

Dredge every year? Wow...what causes it to silt in so quickly?

The marina is located on a small river and with spring thaw and heavy rains there is a lot of run off that carries silt down the river. When it gets to the wider part where the marins is the current slows and the silt drops. Some years are worse than others but they don't want any boats in when the dredger is in the area - liability. We are in a basin off the river so they only have to check the entrance but we all launch on the river.........
